CUseeMe Networks and View System Korea Join to Create Solution for E-learning

CUseeMe Networks (www.cuseeme.com) announced that it has partnered with View System Korea to develop an e-learning solution called CU Learning. The new solution is meant to replace an earlier generation CuseeMe's distance learning product called ClassPoint, and can be integrated with CUseeMe's Conference Server 5.0.

View System Korea (www.viewsystem.com), a CUseeMe Networks reseller partner, expects to release CU Leaning version 1.5 in late June of this year. The software allows web-based classes to be held with multipoint video and audio, instructor-led contents tours, and shared whiteboard annotation.

The companies tout CU Learning's ability to facilitate data conferencing services without the use of T.120, which they state has some limitations and can cause bandwidth traffic jams. View Systems will instead be using a technology called MOSE (Multipoint Objects Synchronizing Engine), which it states provides higher performance than other applications by integrating event-based synchronizing technology and minimizing the size of the transfer.
