Streaming Media Readers' Choice Awards Nominations Now Open
The Streaming Media Readers’ Choice Awards has grown along with the industry. Back when we first gave the awards in 2007, we had 16 categories, in which 120 nominations were submitted. Last year, we had more than 270 nominations, and this year we have 27 categories.
The nomination period runs until August 20. After we've had a chance to sort through your recommendations, we'll open award voting August 25. In a change from previous years, companies will not be able to solicit their employees to vote for their nominees; we don't want this contest to be decided based on the number of employees a company has. Voting will conclude on October 1, and later that month we'll announce the finalists—the top three vote-getters in each category. We'll announce the winners in November.
This competition is open to companies with headquarters in the United States and everywhere else in the world except Europe and the UK (our European Readers' Choice Awards target those regions). We will accept nominations from the same company in multiple categories, but we will not accept more than one nomination per company per category.
