RealNetworks Chief Scientist Joins SpotLife Advisory Board

Personal webcaster SpotLife (http://www.spotlife.com) announced it has brought Stanford Professor Bernd Girod to its advisory board.

Girod currently is Chief Scientist at RealNetworks, and was previously with Vivo Software, a company RealNetworks acquired.

"Dr. Girod's decision to align himself with SpotLife demonstrates a strongbelief in the potential of SpotLife's technology," said CEO and Founder AmitGoswamy. In 1998, Girod was electedas a Fellow to the Institute of Electronic and Electrical Engineers for hiscontributions to the theory and practice of video communications. Previously, hewas a Chaired Professor of Electrical Engineering and Telecommunications at theUniversity of Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany.
