BigStar.com and INTERVU to Deliver Movies and Trailers Over the Internet

Online retailer BigStar (http://www.bigstar.com) is spreading its wings and by offering its Broadband Theater, which has full-length films and film trailers. It announced it was partnering with INTERVU ( http://www.intervu.net) to deliver the content over INTERVU's network.

"INTERVU's proven distributed network infrastructure for streaming media provides high-quality support for our full-length film content and allows BigStar to focus on what it does best - creating a unique environment where visitors can view movies and previews over the Internet, see information about their favorite stars, and purchase filmed entertainment products, all in one visit," said David Levitsky, bigstar.com's executive vice-president of strategy.

Bigstar.com's Broadband Theater allows visitors to preview over 2,000 films and offers full-length movies that can currently be viewed for free on 28.8Kbps, 56Kbps and T1 connections. Movies in the theater can also be ordered on DVD or VHS for delivery from bigstar.com.
