Rapt Media Intros Technology for Immersive Video Experiences
Since its launch, Rapt Media of Boulder, Colorado, has led the way in creating interactive online video experiences for brands, giving viewers more than just the standard static playback. Now, the agency has introduced what it calls "site pairing," which lets the interactive video trigger actions in the rest of the site (and vice versa). Examples include shoppable videos that interact with shopping cart functions, or dynamic learning tutorials where viewers select what they need to learn.
With site pairing and Rapt's interactive video platform, Rapt says companies can create interactive experiences or even product microsites quickly, without long, difficult technical challenges. Without this kind of technology, it says, creating these kind of complex interactive experiences would take the work of multiple agencies. What's more, work created with Rapt's platform can be reused in new sites.
Rapt's solutions, including site pairing, are available as part of the company's software-as-a-service (SaaS) interactive video platform. The company doesn't list prices, so you'll need to go through its sales contacts to get a quote.
Is it worth the extra effort? According to Rapt, interactive video experiences see completion rates of 90 percent and above. Often, viewers re-watch the video and try new pathways. That's some serious engagement. If you're looking to create videos that draw the viewer in and create a two-way experience, see what Rapt can do.
