TuneTo.com Seals $2.6 Million Series A Funding

Internet radio site TuneTo.com (http://www.tuneto.com) announced the completion of its first round, Series-A financing from Whelan & Gratny Capital Management/Encinal Partners and a number of angelinvestors.

The deal brings the total investment in the company toapproximately $3 million.

"TuneTo.com offers a streaming technology that delivers near CD-qualitymusic, which in and of itself is quite uncommon in Internet radio," saidJim Forbes, executive editor of IDG's Demo Letter, which this month pickedTuneTo.com as one of its "Companies to Watch." "Its underlying transmissiontechnology could be one of the first real, low cost competitors to similarmedia distribution software from RealNetworks or Microsoft."
