PopcornflixKids, a Family-Oriented Sister Website of the Popular Popcornflix Free Movie Platform, Launches on Web, Roku and Mobile Devices

Free Streaming Movie Platform features Family Friendly Movies and TV Series

NEW YORK(01 Apr 2014)

Screen Media Ventures, LLC, a leading global independent motion picture distribution company, today announced the launch of PopcornflixKids, an ad-supported, full-length feature, free streaming movie platform that is currently available on the web, Roku and Android, and coming soon to iOS devices in the USA. PopcornflixKids apps are also being developed for connected TV. PopcornflixKids is a sister-site of the popular Popcornflix free streaming movie platform, with a focus solely on family friendly and children's movies and TV programming.

PopcornflixKids offers hundreds of hours of family and children's movies and TV programming in a range of genres, including fun for the family, animated, wild kingdom, fairytales, musicals and Espanol.

PopcornflixKids films include hit family movies like "Jack and the Beanstalk," a live-action thriller adapted from the timeless fairy tale starring Colin Ford, Chloe Grace Moretz and Christopher Lloyd. Other titles families can view at no charge include "School of Life" with Ryan Reynolds, classic cartoon series such as Popeye, Superman and Betty Boop as well as "The Big Comfy Couch" and "Popular Mechanics for Kids."

"It is challenging for parents to find quality family friendly entertainment – especially for free," said David Fannon, Executive Vice President at Screen Media Ventures, parent company of PopcornflixKids and Popcornflix. "Consumers and especially families are getting nickeled and dimed by content providers. Netflix wants a fee, Amazon wants a fee, cable companies want a fee, iTunes wants a fee. Popcornflix and PopcornflixKids are providing families with a free alternative when they are looking for quality family entertainment."

PopcornflixKids is an ad-supported platform that is free to viewers. There is no subscription needed. PopcornflixKids is owned and managed by Screen Media Ventures, LLC, a leading worldwide independent motion picture distribution company.
