Information Today, Inc. Appoints Joel Unickow Publisher of Streaming Media Magazine

Medford, NJ(13 Mar 2006)

Information Today, Inc. has named Joel Unickow as publisher of Streaming Media magazine, the only print publication dedicated solely to the business and technology of online digital audio and video. A ten-year veteran of the streaming industry, Unickow takes on the business leadership position for the publication as well as for www.streamingmedia.com and the Streaming Media East and West tradeshows and conferences.

?Joel?s inside experience with streaming gives him the unique ability to truly understand how our properties can help vendors reach more customers and help our readers find the right solutions for their digital media initiatives,? says Bob Fernekees, group publisher for Streaming Media, as well as CRM and EventDV magazines. ?His combination of knowledge and passion make him a natural fit for the position of publisher.?

The timing of Unickow?s appointment couldn?t be better, as he sees the streaming industry entering an era of unparalleled growth. "There?s been a real uptick here for this community,? he says. ?Those companies that have stuck it out through the tough times are really going to see payoff this year. Our subscription data shows very significant companies, with very significant budgets for this kind of technology in 2006. It looks like the wait is over and this really is going to be the year of video over IP?this time, for real.?

?More than 25% of the companies in our print subscriber base come from organizations with more that 1,000 employees and revenues over $500 million per year,? Fernekees added. ?That and the fact that more than 37% of our readers are in upper-level Executive Management positions with the need, budget, and authority to purchase make Streaming Media magazine the key industry publication in its market right out of the gate. ?
