Influxis Launches Easier, Open Source Platform For Building Flash Video And Collaboration Applications: Synx Platform

Influxis Introduces a New Code Library for Flash Media Server Applications that Makes Flash Coding Easier and Faster.

Valencia, CA(22 Apr 2010)

Influxis, the leading Flash Media Interactive Server hosting and application development company, today launched the Synx Platform for the Adobe Flash Media Interactive Server (FMS). The Synx Platform is an ActionScript 3 micro-architecture that promises to make FMS coding easier and faster thereby decreasing time of production and enhancing interactive development possibilities. Influxis hopes that this new code platform will introduce more developers to the world of FMS, encouraging a proliferation of the Flash video and live collaboration market.

Developed exclusively by Influxis, the Synx Platform was originally conceived to allow the company to reduce costs for custom FMS application development when building more advanced multi-user applications. Upon development, Influxis realized the Synx Platform's potential of helping the FMS coding community and decided to release it as an open source project.

"Developers can easily learn Synx and start developing their own Flash applications. Synx simplifies the code required to utilize the advanced features of FMS. It shortens the lines of code substantially, from hundreds to a few," said Zach Stepek, the lead developer of the Synx Platform. "With Synx, you can eliminate all of the repetitive tasks you used to have to do for every FMS application," he added.

"I am excited about Synx Platform because it will allow Flash designers to be more creative with the Flash Media Server and apply new collaborative video experiences in new ways," said Richard Blakely, the CEO of Influxis. "It also speeds up development time which allows a budget more possibilities."
