Gigcasters announces HYDRA HD, 4K, & BLADE single and multi-channel encoders
Gigcasters announces availability of its single and multi-channel encoders including a high density blade encoder scalable to hundreds of channels.

Gigcasters, an industry leader in single and multi-channel high density live encoders (HYDRA), and end-to-end OTT cloud video delivery platform (Flight Deck), announced today the availability of its new line up of HYDRA encoders ideal for live streaming and 24x7 linear channel delivery for use by broadcasters, satellite companies/transports, News affiliates, Live Event producers, and Digital media companies. The HYDRA lineup includes single channel HD, UHD/ VR encoders available in 1U and 2U form factors. The HYDRA BLADE is a high density multi-channel blade encoder that can scale up to 40 channels in a single enclosure. The HYDRA series of encoders from Gigcasters is the on ramp to the Gigcasters cloud video management platform (Flight Deck) and embeddable HTML5 video player for the delivery of content OTT through multiple CDNs, as a disaster recovery, backup to satellite, use as backhaul, and for live event production.
