BYOBroadcast Announces Election Song Parody Contest

Americans are getting the chance to get their voice heard about the post-U.S. Presidential election. BYOBroadcast (www.byobroadcast.com), a provider of Internet audio posting and listening tools, announced that it will host the "It Ain't Over, ‘Til the Fat Lady Sings" contest, which allows participants to parody, in song, the 2000 U.S. Presidential Election.

The contest, which is being held at the company's Web site, will award one grand prize winner $2,500 and the option of singing the winning song in front of the Florida Supreme Courthouse building in Tallahassee, Fla., or the U.S. Supreme Court building in Washington, D.C. Participants can enter the contest by clicking on a link on the site and recording their song through a computer microphone or by telephone. The latest entries, which are available to listen to on the Web site, include such titles as, "O little brain of Dubya", "Mr. GoreBoto" and "Oops, I voted again."

"This contest is not only a fun and unique way for people to express in song their opinions about this year's presidential election. It also allows us to demonstrate our easy to use technology and its multiple applications, "said Mark Anderson, vice president of marketing, BYOBroadcast.

BYOBroadcast's streaming tools include Audio Posting System (APS) and Audio Listening System (ALS), which are based on patent-pending technology that allows users to post on the Internet, their own audio using either a computer microphone or telephone. APS and ALS do not require continuous software downloads or launches. The user accepts a one-time permission of special components that are used by the Java recording applet to interface with the machine's audio input.
