Showbox Debuts Online Video Creation Service for Brands

Ever since it launched in 2013, Israel-based Showbox has offered anyone—individuals and brands alike—an easy template-driven way to create online videos. Last week, however, the company debuted an offering just for brands, offering more resources for companies that want to engage viewers with video.

ShowboxBrandsShowbox's newly launched Brand Suite is meant for small companies or brands that want to regularly offer new videos, but lack the resources for a dedicated video production team. With the company's variety of templates, brands can create professional-quality videos with little effort.

Besides the template tools, the Brand Suite includes a white label service brands can use to create user-generated content (UGC) video campaigns: They can launch promotions where fans use online tools to create their own videos and submit their work for a contest. That UGC can be repurposed on social media platforms, a way to add new content without much expense. Brands can use an online dashboard to track metrics on UGC videos.

The Brand Suite also lets smaller companies work with online video influencers, hiring top talent from Fullscreen and BroadbandTV to create videos for them. Brands have full control over the output, Showbox stresses.

"Video is the most effective channel for driving engagement, but brands are forced to choose between bland video content, or the extremely high cost of creative video," says Effi Atad, co-founder and CEO of Showbox. "Showbox enables brands to scale the creation of amazing video content, and our new platform empowers them to maximize the use of this channel."

Showbox doesn't have price information on its site, so you'll need to content them directly to get a quote. Previous brand clients of Showbox include Entrepreneur, L'Oreal, and Dog.TV. The company took in $8 million in Series A funding in July 2015.
