Animoto Partners with Vimeo for Pro Premium Plan

Businesses that want to offer a professional online video experience to their customers but don't have a lot to spend now have a new option. Animoto, which specializes in making online video creation easy, has partnered with Vimeo to make the Animoto Pro Premium plan.

The existing Animoto Pro plan sells for $249 annually and lets businesses create and upload as many videos as they want, make videos up to 20 minutes long, and stream 720p resolution videos. They can also use 2,000 licensed music tracks to dress up their creations.

The new Pro Premium account costs $499 per year and adds several features on top of that. The big addition, though, is that it includes a Vimeo Pro account -- itself a $200 per year value. Vimeo Pro allows 1080p video streaming, a video player that supports custom branding, and custom video and portal pages. It also gives brands the option to sell their videos online.

But there's more to Animoto Pro Premium than a Vimeo Pro account. The plan offers 3,000 music tracks and lets brands add custom branding to their work with post-roll videos. The ability to put a call-to-action inside a video should help sales. This new plan also comes with phone support and includes analytics.

Animoto says the new Premium Pro plan is targeted at small- to medium-sized businesses. All Animoto plans let users upload video or photos, apply themes and music, and turn out attractive videos with no editing required. Companies looking for a low-cost, low-tech option for online video would be wise to give it a try.
