Social video platform TikTok announced it has created a software development kit (SDK) called Share to TikTok that lets third-party developers build direct integration into their apps. Adobe announced that Adobe Premiere Rush, its simplified cross-device video editing app, is one of the first to sign on.

News 2The Share to TikTok SDK is the first product to come out of the company's TikTok for Developers program. With it, developers can not only build in instant TikTok sharing, the company says, but also use partner hashtags to grow their platforms' reach.

"This new Share to TikTok feature enriches the content available on TikTok, diversifies the types of videos users can discover, and offers more editing choices for users to explore in addition to TikTok's built-in creative tools," says a company statement. "Most importantly, it gives users multiple avenues to create new original, high quality content using platforms with exciting creative tools."

"We spoke to video-makers around the world and the thing we heard over and over was a need for speed, ease, and shareability," writes Janet Mozaffari, head of marketing for Adobe Rush, in a blog post. "Enter your ability to share on yet another favorite platform, TikTok. That’s in addition to Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and Behance—all of which you could already share to."

Other apps that now offer direct TikTok sharing include Fuse.it, Medal.tv, PicsArt, Plotaverse, and Enlight Videoleap. TikTok plans to expand its third-party partnerships in the future.
