YuMe and JW Player Partner for Targeted Advertising Solution

Online video advertising company YuMe and JW Player (formerly LongTail Video) have partnered to create a solution that builds targeted video advertising into an online video player.

The JW6 Platform now comes with the YuMe Audience-Aware SDK embedded. This makes it easy for content owners to gather demographic data on their viewers, and to send in-stream audience surveys. They can then monetize their content by streaming targeted ads through YuMe.

The JW6 Ads Platform works with both live and on-demand video, supports HTTP Adaptive Streaming through HLS, and plays HLS streams on desktop browsers. Both Google Analytics and Adobe SiteCatalyst analytics tracking are built in. Customers can create a branded look with the platform's JavaScript API.

YuMe and JW Player have announced that music site Baeble is the launch partner. Already a client of both YuMe and JW Player, Baeble will use the SDK to serve interactive YuMe ads and viewer surveys, allowing it to earn more from targeted ads.

"This partnership gives us the best of both worlds -- content delivery from JW Player and better monetization and fill rates from YuMe,” says David Moffly, chairman of Baeble Media. “More tightly integrated technologies are simply a win-win for us.”
