Vimeo Awards Celebrate Creativity in Online Video

In a night marked by music, humor, and just a few technical snafus, video-sharing site Vimeo gave out its second round of Vimeo Awards Thursday night at a ceremony in New York City. Vimeo first gave out awards in 2010.

Comedian and musician Reggie Watts and humorous beatboxer Beardyman hosted the night. Presenters and judges included some winners from Vimeo's first award ceremony two years ago.

"I still don't know what I'm doing, but the Vimeo award has tricked others into thinking that I do," said Gabriel Bisset-Smith, who won the narrative category in 2010.

The awards show was the kick-off event for the second Vimeo Festival, which takes place today and tomorrow at Vimeo's IAC Center home.
