NAB: VMIX Offers Robust Analytics
Software-as-a-service video platform VMIX is deepening its relationship with Akamai's HD Network, and the results are deep analytics tools and for VMIX customers.
A suite of video analytics tools will let VMIX's clients dig into their performance data and view it in graphically rich ways. Clients can filter data to see only the views they're interested in, digging deep to isolate whatever timeframe or video group they need. They're even able to view multiple accounts at one time and zoom in on graphed data. Filters let users see only certain collections or genres, and they can create smart reports that are constantly updated with the most current data.
Once they've got a useful view or report, they can save it for quick access later. Custom views and reports are embeddable, so they can be added to Web pages. Clients can add multiple embedded reports to a single page, creating an executive summary view with realtime data. The embedding feature should prove useful with company intranets.
VMIX made the announcement today and will be in Akamai's booth at NAB to show off the technology. VMIX is an end-to-end SaaS video platform that streams everything from user-generated videos to professional work, outputting to various devices. The company has been working with Akamai for two years already, using it to deliver adaptive bitrate streaming.

They also allow us to now offer the very best video analytics to the industry," said VMIX president and CEO Mike Glickenhaus. "Allowing our clients to see exactly which videos are being viewed, when and how often-which in turn lets them monetize more effectively and refine the use of video across their websites."
