Rebar Acquires TellSoft

TellSoft Technologies (www.tellsoft.com) , an application service provider of rich-media outsourcing solutions, was acquired by Rebar LLC, a technology operating and holding company. Details of the deal were not disclosed.

Rebar's technology holdings include Corporate Software, a provider of software asset management solutions; Shaman Corporation, an Internet-based sales engine providing IT management tools and services to the small and mid-sized markets; and also several startup companies.

"As part of the Rebar family, we have increased access to established channels and business opportunities, economies of scale and the opportunity to cross leverage strengths with other market leaders," said Bill Tomeo, president and CEO of TellSoft Technologies in a statement.

The company indicated that the acquisition presents TellSoft with opportunities to further extend its channel strategy and market reach in servicing the web-based communications needs of businesses.

TellSoft's services are based on using a touch-tone phone to create voice communications that are immediately delivered via the Web using streaming media technology.
