College Broadband Network Zilo Networks Gets $6 Million
Zilo Networks (http://www.zilo.com), a broadband network for college students, says it raised $6 million in Series A round of funding.
The round was led by Sutter Hill Ventures of Palo Alto, California and Red Coat Capital of New York City.
Zilo is the web site as well as ZILO TV, a collegetelevision network that reaches over 4 million college students (Fall 2000) that will provide 12 hours of programming per week.
"Integrated with our live events and campus television network, ZILO.comwill set the new standard for delivering innovative rich media programming tothe nation's 15 million college students, two-thirds of whom have broadbandaccess to the Internet," said David Isaacs, Co-Founder and CEO of ZiloNetworks.
Zilo will hard launch for back-to-school in Fall 2000.
