Pinnacle Systems Acquires Software Effects Maker Hollywood FX

Pinnacle Systems (http://www.pinnaclesys.com) announced that it has acquired Salt Lake City-based Synergy International, makers of Hollywood FX software for video content creation.

Hollywood FX software consists of plug-ins that enhance the special effects capabilities of popular video editing software including Adobe Systems, Apple, Avid, Discreet, Media 100, Panasonic, and Sony.

Hollywood FX operations will become part of Pinnacle Systems' Desktop Products organization and continue to be based in Salt Lake City.
