Dabber Offers Free Version of 3D-Interface Player

Pull viewers in with a more appealing video player interface. If you're running a non-commercial site, you can now use the attractive 3D-interface Dabber player for free.

The Dabber Player is available in three versions. Commercial sites can use the standard version for $75. The premium version for $95 per month includes automatic setup and a hosted content management system for uploading and encoding through Amazon CloudFront.

The new free version should help spread the word about this attractive player. The content owner can select from five 3D interfaces for video selection. This isn't true 3D—don't worry, there are no glasses required—just the illusion of depth to give video menus some flair. View the demo to get a better idea.

Besides offering five player styles, the player's colors, fonts, and more can be customized to fit the host site.

Dabber is based in Stockholm, Sweden. At 2009's Streaming Media West conference, it was nominated for Best Streaming Innovation. The company has announced that new players and plug-ins are in development for YouTube, Vimeo, the JW Player, the Flowplayer, HTML5, and more.

"No more black, boring, standard embedded and sad video players. Let's make Internet more beautiful!" says Daniel Daboczy, Dabber's CEO and co-founder.
