Fullscreen to Debut Subscription VOD Service on April 26

The teen subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) market is getting crowded. Despite a lack of data on how YouTube Red and Vessel are doing, multichannel network (MCN) Fullscreen has decided to jump it. It will launch a service called Fullscreen on April 26, which will cost $4.99 per month.

Subscribers will be able to access original titles, such as the reboot of Electra Woman & Dyna Girl, as well as shows Filthy Preppy Teen$ and Jack & Dean of All Trades. The service will debut with over 800 hours of content, much of which will be licensed shows that include Dawson's Creek, Saved By the Bell, and Daria. Original content will be both scripted and unscripted. Fullscreen will be available to subscribers around the world, and will be accessible on iOS and Android mobile devices. The company will offer a 30-day trial to those interested.

AT&T is partnering with Fullscreen on the launch. AT&T is the premier launch partner, and will promote the service with special offers. AT&T and Fullscreen will co-produce content for the SVOD and AT&T's DirecTV and U-verse Audience Network.

Fullscreen has been talking the idea up since September 2015, when CEO George Strompolos told a Variety Summit audience that his company would launch a youth-focused "premium entertainment service" in the coming months.
