Warner Bros. Teams With PacketVideo for Wireless Multimedia

Warner Bros. New Media and PacketVideo (http://www.packetvideo.com) said they've entered into an alliance for distributing wireless multimedia using PacketVideo's MPEG-4 software software.

The first project will be Warner Bros. Animation's creation and production of four original animated series.

Serving as spokesperson and an introductory ID will be Warner's Marvin the Martian.

"Warner Bros. is widely regarded for delivering top-notch entertainment programming and we are very pleased to be joining them to bring their world class entertainment to the wireless medium," said James Carol, CEO and Co-founder, PacketVideo.

PacketVideo is a maker of MPEG-4 based software that enables playback to wireless devices. PacketVideo says they're working with wireless carriers in the U.S. and internationally to trial the technology over their networks.
