Streaming21 Launches with MP3 Server and Broadband MPEG Streaming Suite

Streaming21 (http://www.streaming21.com) officially launched the company today introducing its MP3 Server and MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 video servers.

The company says its servers can deliver MPEG audio and video to PCs, set-top boxes and other next generation devices.

"Streaming21 has revolutionized how businesses can capitalize on broadband streaming of high quality video and audio," said Dr. David Du, CEO of Streaming21.The company says its system includes security, content management and delivery. Streaming21.com's product line consists of:The Media Server, which supports multiple bandwidths from 28.8 Kbps to 16 Mbps and formats including MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MP3, ASF and AVI. Media Server Professional costs about $5,000 to start.

Media Caster, is for live content. It encodes live audio and video in MPEG-1 or MPEG-2 format. It uses Microsoft's Media Encoder to support ASF streams, as well. It costs $1,695.

MP3 Server, an MP3 streaming solution that features advanced server controls like rights management, remote administration and licensing functions. It supports a wide range of bit rates and up to 1500 simultaneous 128 Kbps MP3 streams, says the company. MP3 Server Professional is priced at $1,295.

Also, it comes with its free Streaming Player that is built on a proprietary transport mechanism that ensures good quality streams.

Streaming21, which has been in stealth mode for some time, is based in Los Gatos, California.
