POPcast Releases Live Webcasting Application

POPcast a provider of self-service webcasting services announced today the release of POPster, its new (and free) software that allows users to broadcast live from their destops.

"Until now," said POPcast's Chairman and Founder William Mutual,"providing a live Webcast has been a very complex and expensive endeavor, requiring complex configuration and operation of streaming media servers andnetworks, or outsourcing to high-priced specialists with appropriate networkresources. POPster changes all that."

The service allows customers to use their own bandwidth to servelive video streams. Next month, POPcast says they will be able to easily purchase additional bandwidth online for these live events.
