Media 100 Announces Cleaner Live
Media 100 (www.media100.com) announced the launch of Cleaner Live, its first live streaming application. The company says it can deliver real-time, capture in Windows Media and RealSystem 8 formats simultaneously.
The software works with Media 100's other applications — CineStream, for interactive video authoring, and Cleaner 5, for on-demand encoding.
Features of the software include DV input, encoding in multiple bit rates simultaneously, monitoring flow meters to assess frame throughput, and more.
"Cleaner Live is a breakthrough. It delivers high-quality video live over the Internet, supports both the Windows Media and RealSystems formats, and it's affordable," said John Molinari, president and chief executive officer of Media 100. "We see many organizations and individuals taking the next step to live streaming. Cleaner Live turns a Windows 2000 personal computer into a live streaming studio."
Cleaner Live runs on Windows 2000, and requires a dual processor for simultaneous Windows Media and RealSystem output. It is scheduled to ship in April 2001, for $2,995.
