LAUNCH Acquires Warped Tour Concert Series

LAUNCH Media (http://www.launch.com) said it acquired The Warped Tour, a summer concert series for an undisclosed amount.

The unusual acquisition gives LAUNCH access to Warped Tour additional content (like live music and artist interviews) as well as revenues from ticket sales and sponsorships. LAUNCH says the Warped Tour reaches the same "elusive demographic" wealth of additional content. LAUNCH will maintain an on-site.Vans Inc., an owner of the tour, will be this summer's title sponsor, to be billed as The Vans Warped Tour '00.

The Warped Tour appeals to Gen X and Y punk, alternative, hip-hop, ska music fans.

The lineup for this year's tour include Green Day, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, The Long Beach Dub Allstars and athletes Steve Caballero, Mike Frazier, Rick Thorne and many more.
