Digital Origin Releases Updated Desktop Editor IntroDV

Digital Origin (http://www.digitalorigin.com) released IntroDV 1.1, a digital video editor for Windows.

The editor features integrated web output, letting users export movies directly to the web.

"While designed for the novice, IntroDV 1.1 is every inch a major league tool with broad consumer appeal," said Tom Fristoe, vice president of marketing and business development for Digital Origin. "We believe it is the easiest product in the market for a beginner to use. IntroDV 1.1 is a must-have for any new owner of a DV camcorder."

IntroDV is designed for the DV format, the digital video format of some high end consumer video cameras.

IntroDV 1.1 runs on Windows 95 and 98, and includes the IntroDV software application, Digital Darkroom for still image manipulation, a selection of royalty-free audio clips from Sonic Desktop Software, and a Digital Origin 1394 FireWire interface card and cable.

This package costs $199 through Digital Origin's retail channel.
