Brightcove Offers Video Cloud Integration for Nine CMS Platforms
Millions of site owners now have the option of adding video to their workflows, says Brightcove, thanks to newly announced content management system (CMS) integrations for Adobe CQ5, Agility, Atex Polopoly, Drupal, Ektron, Microsoft Sharepoint 2010, PaperThin CommonSpot, Sitecore, and WordPress.
By offering full integration with Brightcove Video Cloud, Brightcove is letting site owners add video management, delivery, and analytics to their CMS. Benefits include a simplified, centralized workflow; unified site analytics for all site data; and the ability to search for video content along with other materials.
Site owners gain useful testing functionality, including the ability to run A/B tests and multivariate tests.
The integrations are handled by APIs, so site owners only need to enter their Video Cloud account info once, says Brightcove. After that, the CMS will automatically present videos, thumbnails, metadata, search, and tagging for videos in the user's library within the CMS.
"Website publishers need the same high degree of control over video that they've had with text and images to create a content strategy with more personalized experiences and a wider range of content types that drive visitor engagement, transactions, and return visits. Brightcove's CMS integrations help publishers take full advantage of the many marketing benefits of video by easily incorporating it into their existing content workflows," says Jeff Whatcott, chief marketing officer at Brightcove.
