World Poker Tour Launches WatchWPT, a Free Streaming Platform for Poker Video Content On All Devices
The service uses Unreel’s turnkey OTT solution, allowing poker fans and players to access hundreds of hours of video content from any device.

Unreel, the leading platform for networks and publishers launching over-the-top (OTT) streaming services, in partnership with the World Poker Tour, the premier name in internationally televised gaming and entertainment, today announced the launch of WatchWPT, a free OTT streaming platform for poker fans and players. WatchWPT gives users access to hundreds of hours of their favorite WPT video content, to be viewed on any device.
Unreel will continue to maintain the OTT platform it has built and deployed for WPT, ensuring a seamless viewing experience for users all over the world. WPT content will be delivered across multiple endpoints including Roku, iOS, Android, Fire TV, and Apple TV, in an effort to increase audience reach. With a wealth of global viewers accessing the platform from the device of their choosing, WPT will be better able to observe user data and audience intelligence, thanks to Unreel’s platform.
In the U.S. alone, there are around 40 million people who play poker on a regular basis. Of those players, 6.9 million are avid watchers of poker on television. This is a substantial audience which has remained largely untapped in the OTT market. With the continuous increase of viewers shifting from cable to OTT, there is a need for more niche streaming platforms. WPT has bridged the gap with WatchWPT, connecting poker players and fans to their favorite WPT video content. Users simply download the WatchWPT app and start browsing the endless library of videos, which includes Livestream, Short Form videos, and exclusive content only seen on WatchWPT.
The exclusive WPT content collection available on Unreel includes more than 250 hours of the WPT series along with WPT Alpha8, and WPT Greatest. In addition, select premium WPT live events will be streamed on the service as well.
