VaddioTM Announces a New OneLINKTM Extension System for Cisco Telepresence Systems

OneLINK HDMI extends power, video and control to Cisco Precision 60 cameras.

Minnetonka(27 Aug 2015)

Vaddio, a market leader and trusted provider of Cisco Precision HD camera extension, today announced its OneLINK HDMI system that extends HDMI video, power and network control on a single Cat-5e or better cable for the Cisco Precision 60 with SX-series codecs.

Using HDBaseTTM digital technology, the OneLINK HDMI System is able to transport power to the PTZ camera, provide bi-directional Ethernet communication up to 100m (328ft) and return uncompressed HDMI from the Cisco camera.

“We are pleased to announce Vaddio’s next generation of camera extension technology for the new Cisco Telepresence systems,” explained Ed Ellett, President and CEO of Vaddio. “Spurred by the successes of our first generation OneLINK for the Cisco C-series system, the new OneLINK HDMI has been optimized to extend the Cisco Precision 60 camera up over 300 feet over a single Cat. 5e cable from the SX-80 codec.”

The OneLINK HDMI is a two-part system that consists of the EZIMTM (EZCameraTM Interface Module for HDMI video, power and both Ethernet and RS-232 control) at the camera end and the OneLINK HDMI interface at the codec end. The EZIM provides the required camera connectivity while the OneLINK HDMI Interface includes the HDMI receiver, power supply for the camera and a bi-directional control channel for Ethernet, transmitting and receiving uncompressed HDMI digital video up to 2160p/30 all on a single Cat 5e cable. A heavy-duty wall mount is also included in this system.

“We are committed to developing the technology our customers ask for,” stated Ellett. “The additional features and functions of our OneLINK HDMI ensures Vaddio will continue as a market leader in providing video, power and control camera extension for Cisco Telepresence Systems.”
