Swedish live streaming for horse racing in Hong Kong

Stockholm(27 Apr 2021)

The Sweden-based company Realsprint has within a short time period expanded its business internationally. Providing a platform for live streaming with ultra low latency - a growing market - the company is experiencing the effects of a market that is doubling year-over-year. Lately, prestige brands have been added to the portfolio, among others Hong Kong Jockey Club through Mediatech International Limited . Realsprint is now gaining further traction and looking forward to the Summer of 2021.

“There are not many solutions for ultra low latency, in sync and at high quality. Our position is advantageous and business-wise things are looking very bright both in the near and long term. We are happy to see that incoming clients are of increasing caliber.”, says Daniel Alinder, CPO at Realsprint.

Before the Covid pandemic the live streaming category was already growing well, which was accelerated further through changing behaviour due to physical experiences being substituted by digital ones. According to Cisco, 82% of Internet traffic will be video by 2022, of which roughly 60% is live.

“This development has exceeded our expectations. We are a relatively small team with a strong product and now the world market has opened up. Now is the right time to transition to an increasingly offensive strategy, onboarding prestigious partnerships, to realize the potential in our product. During the Spring period, further partnerships are initiated, exposing our technology to a larger extent in the USA, Europe and Asia.”, says Niclas Åström, CEO at Realsprint.
