Amsterdam, Netherlands, 22nd July 2025 – Quickplay, Caretta Research, Dalet, Evergent, and Twelve Labs are delighted to announce that the highly popular IBC Pride Happy Hour will make its return to IBC on Friday 12th September, from 5-7pm at The Traveller Restaurant, Amsterdam.
Building on the momentum of past Pride Happy Hours at IBC, CES and NAB, this year’s event is proudly supported by returning partners Quickplay, Caretta Research and Evergent, and joined for the first time by Dalet and Twelve Labs. This year’s event is set to be twice the size and once again bring the broadcast, media and tech community together for an evening that’s as significant and meaningful as it is memorable.
At its core, the IBC Pride Happy Hour is about diversity, inclusion and making genuine connections. It’s an opportunity for the LGBTQ+ community, allies and others throughout the industry to come together to celebrate diversity and inclusion and to foster and empower this growing community.
The event will create a space for vibrant conversations and shared experiences, to build a deeper sense of community among LGBTQ+ professionals in media and technology. It will be a fantastic opportunity to meet new people, exchange ideas, and enjoy an evening that blends insight and inclusivity.
Paul Pastor, Co-Founder and Chief Business Officer, Quickplay, commented: “I believe there is real strength in allyship. Even though LGBTQ+ professionals are still a small part of the tech space, allies show up—whether they’re coworkers, friends, or family—and that’s powerful. Our goal is to help people connect, especially those who may not have had that chance before, and to create that allyship for others. We’re excited to see community-building in action yet again at IBC.”
Robert Ambrose, Co-Founder, Caretta Research, added: "IBC Pride is fast becoming not only an amazingly popular event on the IBC calendar, but also an important outward symbol of the way our industry is transforming to be more diverse, to attract the best talent, and stay relevant in a world of fast-changing media consumers."
Vijay Sajja, Chief Executive Officer & Founder, Evergent Technologies, added: “Diversity and inclusion isn’t just a corporate initiative, it’s about creating a culture where people of all identities feel seen, valued, and empowered to contribute their best. At Evergent, we’re committed to building a workplace and an industry where diversity and inclusion is the norm, not the exception, so naturally, we’re thrilled to co-host this important event.”
Once again this year, we’ll be joined by leading drag queens from the Netherlands, bringing their trademark flair to the event. Special guests attending this year’s event will be announced in the coming weeks. Stay tuned for updates!
