Piksel Unveils Digital Enterprise 6.0 to Simplify Online Video for Businesses

Full redesign of Piksel’s cloud-based asset management system to address companies’ video needs

NEW YORK, NY,(19 Mar 2015)

Piksel, a global provider of video monetization software and solutions, designed to maximize the reach and return of video, today launches Piksel Digital Enterprise™6.0, a full redesign of their cloud-based asset management system for the growing video needs of organizations worldwide. Digital Enterprise 6.0 streamlines the process for organizing and sharing on-demand and live video content with its new responsive design and rich feature set, helping companies to more efficiently and cost-effectively reach their viewers.

In a constantly connected world, video is no longer just the domain of media companies – it has become a powerful medium for any company wishing to spread its brand. However, current video platforms can be costly and complex to manage, and unable to provide the flexibility or security that companies need. Responding to these challenges, Piksel has completely restructured its online video offering for enterprises in order to alleviate these issues.

Sean Everett, Product Manager of Digital Enterprise at Piksel, says:“working closely with Piksel’s award-winning design team, our developers have spent six focused months transforming hundreds of complex, enterprise-grade features into the only video platform that can offer a 1-page workflow for ingestion, transcoding, searching, syndication, and embedding.Digital Enterprise 6.0 is wonderfully simple on the surface but has great power, quality, and functionality at its core.”

Digital Enterprise6.0 has an updated and modernized interface with a refreshed look and feel, making it easier for customers to find and manage their media assets. Piksel has completely revamped the Media Library, allowing users to do everything on one page, much faster than previously possible. The brand-new Media Library has a number of benefits for users, including:

  • Faster upload, transcode, search, sort, share, edit, and social syndication functions for customers’ media assets;
  • Refined navigation of the Media Library and entire app;
  • Streamlined workflows and expanded programing options for editing, entering metadata, understanding associations, and customizing assets; and a
  • New online help portal that provides users with step-by-step instructions for every process within the Platform, in a searchable, mobile-responsive website.

Digital Enterprise 6.0 is part of the Piksel Palette, Piksel’s unique services oriented architecture (SOA) framework, which allows the agile delivery of SaaS-based video applications.

Ralf Tillmann, Chief Strategy Officer at Piksel commented: “By rebuilding Digital Enterprise 6.0 within the Piksel Palette framework, we can leverage the inherent flexibility of its architecture to provide a solution which is highly adaptable and easy to use. By doing this, we are breaking down the barriers that currently exist for companies that wish to incorporate video into their business’ roadmaps. With the launch of Digital Enterprise6.0, companies can easily and affordably create and deliver successful media strategies, which is critical in an age where video is such a valuable and powerful tool.”
