Makito ONE Adds Bonded 5G Connectivity with Haivision’s New CellLink 5G, Enhancing Resilient Live Video Contribution

Industry’s most trusted encoder brand now features video transport over bonded 5G, enabling pristine live contribution from virtually any location

Montreal, QC(03 Sep 2026)

Haivision (TSX: HAI), a leading global provider of mission?critical, real?time video networking and visual collaboration solutions, today announced that the award-winning Makito ONE video transport platform supports live video contribution over bonded cellular networks through seamless integration with the CellLink 5G external modem and antenna array.

Commonly used as a low latency contribution encoder over Ethernet-connected networks, Makito ONE is now the first device of its kind to also leverage cellular connectivity for contribution, all from a single hardware blade. This gives broadcasters maximum flexibility and additional resiliency from diverse network options, ensuring the best video quality for live productions in remote, mobile, and unpredictable network environments.

Makito ONE is Haivision’s low latency, dual channel multi?codec encoder/decoder designed for pristine 4K, HD, and high dynamic range (HDR) broadcast contribution. Engineered for remote production workflows that demand exceptional live video quality and low latency, the Makito ONE supports HEVC, H.264, and JPEG XS workflows and provides native SRT protocol support for secure and reliable streaming over wired connections.

The Haivision CellLink 5G modem and antenna array features three 5G modems and dual antennas for MIMO 2x2 performance. Encased in a weather?resistant enclosure with magnetic pad and thread mounts, CellLink 5G can be easily installed on vehicles, poles, or buildings and easily connects to Makito ONE via standard Ethernet.

With CellLink 5G, Makito ONE can contribute high-quality video over bonded networks including Ethernet and multiple cellular modems leveraging SST protocol. This enables broadcasters to build robust contribution workflows with greater throughput and network load balancing across wired and wireless network paths to maximize live video quality for any production. For instance, Makito ONE can use public internet as the priority network (with Ethernet), but in the event of internet congestion, can leverage cellular networks as backup until the priority network performance returns to normal. This can ensure that there is no disruption in video quality.

“Resilient and reliable connectivity is essential for live video contribution, particularly when operating in challenging network environments,” said Jean?Marc Racine, Chief Product Officer at Haivision. “CellLink 5G extends resilient cellular connectivity across our live broadcast contribution ecosystem – and now, with the Makito ONE integration, we’re giving our customers flexible deployment across field production, mobile broadcast units, and temporary event sites while helping them ensure continuous and reliable transmission over public cellular networks.”

A Unified Ecosystem for Mobile and Remote Production
In addition to its integration with the Makito ONE, the CellLink 5G is also compatible with Haivision’s extensive selection of mobile video transmitters including Falkon, Haivision Pro, and Haivision Air transmitters, making resilient cellular bonding a core connectivity option across Haivision’s entire live video ecosystem.

Makito ONE and CellLink 5G at IBC2026
The Makito ONE video transport platform will be showcased alongside the Haivision ecosystem of video contribution solutions, including the CellLink 5G, at IBC2026 (Hall 2, Stand 2.B32). To schedule a meeting at IBC2026, visit: https://www.haivision.com/events/ibc/
