CogoHD.com sets out to smash encoding limits with new encoding solutions

Austin, Texas(23 Mar 2015)

Headquartered in Austin, Texas, CogoHD.com provided the encoding technology that was used to deliver the very first live concert streamed live in 4K worldwide from the 2015 South by Southwest (SXSW) Music Conference and Festival. CogoHD trialed its new solution in the field for the first time, at the Festival, which took place in the city 13-22 March, 2015, (see more here www.TheFADER.com/FORT).

At NAB 2015 encoding software specialists CogoHD.com will debut a new suite of transcoding and encoding solutions that enables the delivery of superior fidelity images, including 4K, with extremely low bit rates. Taking place 12-16 April in Las Vegas, NAB is the largest broadcast industry event in North America.

CogoHD.com will be participating at NAB as part of the dedicated StudioXperience event feature on booth # SU621, in the South Hall, Upper Level of the Las Vegas Convention Centre. The StudioXperience blends a state-of-the-art live broadcast studio with a technology showcase and live performance venue which will see CogoHD.com’s technology providing powerful encoding solutions for delivering high quality live programming from the NAB show floor.

“At CogoHD.com we are dedicated to providing a superior service to production clients in the field of video compression,” said Harry Friedman, CEO, CogoHD.com. “Currently broadcasters have limited pathways to provide 4K video to the customer. We can manipulate either an IP signal or UDP signal to accommodate these clients. Also since we are based on the current standard H.264 the need for operators to upgrade to a H.265 infrastructure can be delayed until the cost of equipment lowers, without delaying the roll out UHD content. We look forward to demonstrating our alternative solutions to the broadcast Industry in April.”
