Bitcentral Appoints Veteran Technology and Venture Executive Rick Arnold to its Board of Directors

Bitcentral, the leading provider of professional media solutions for broadcast and digital video, announces the appointment of Silicon Valley executive Rick Arnold to its Board of Directors. A highly accomplished executive with a track record of leadership across technology, venture capital, and corporate governance, Arnold’s expertise will play a key role in advancing Bitcentral’s strategic vision.

Arnold serves as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at Altos Ventures, a Silicon Valley–based venture capital firm. At Altos, he works with early-stage and growth-stage companies operating in both consumer and enterprise technology sectors. His role spans governance, legal strategy, and operational guidance for leadership teams navigating complex decisions.

Before joining Altos, Arnold served as General Counsel and Secretary of Silver Spring Networks (NYSE: SSNI) through its merger with Itron, and previously at Hewlett-Packard. Earlier in his career he practiced law at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati - the preeminent Silicon Valley law firm for high-growth technology companies - advising a broad range of technology companies across corporate strategy, transactions, and compliance.

Arnold is a graduate of the United States Military Academy, where he earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering. He also holds both a JD and MBA from Duke University and began his professional career as a U.S. Army officer.

With more than two decades of experience supporting technology organizations through operational, legal, and governance challenges, Arnold brings a well-rounded perspective to Bitcentral’s Board as the company continues its work supporting media organizations in production, asset management, playout, and streaming workflows.
