Berlin(04 Sep 2026)
German real-time video provider nanocosmos is presenting the newest generation of its platform at IBC 2026, built for business that run on real-time video, at a global scale. Live casino operators, auction houses, corporate event platforms and government institutions rely on a real-time video streaming platform that personalizes, secures, and scales interaction across markets, backed by data-driven insights and 100% uptime.
"Our customers have a clear need for real-time interaction to monetise their business”, said Oliver Lietz, CEO of nanocosmos. “Real-time is a must-have for them”.
This goes far beyond traditional broadcast, opening up new opportunities across a wide range of vertical industries.
nanocosmos has driven audio and video innovation for over 25 years, dedicating the last 10 to real-time video with ultra-low latency. Its early adoption of new technologies such as Media over QUIC (MOQ) opened the door to new use cases and new product lines, including nanoStudio, the cloud production core of the platform, with its centerpiece product, cloud-based chroma key.
Over the past year, the two cores of the platform, nanoStream and nanoStudio, have evolved together into a complete end-to-end offering, from CDN and player to security, analytics and cloud-based production, all managed by one team, in one platform.
The upgraded nanocosmos platform brings
- MOQ at production scale. nanoStream, the first platform to bring MOQ into production at this scale, now with over a year of live operation behind it, delivering resilience and ultra-low latency across every major browser.
- Security and intelligence: Token-based revocation with instant access control keeps every stream locked down to the right audience, while built-in analytics track viewer behaviour, playback quality, and more in real time, giving operators both control and insights.
- nanoStudio for live cloud production. nanoStudio Chroma Key transforms a single green-screen feed into multiple fully branded live streams, each with its own virtual environment, logos and partner integrations, all processed server-side.
- Live replay in the nanoStream Player. Viewers can rewind a live stream to catch what they missed and return to the live edge in a single motion, without leaving the experience.
- Session recording. Operators can now record specific segments of a live stream on demand, rather than the full session, supporting regulatory recordkeeping in iGaming and enabling training teams to capture and reuse individual moments from a live session.
- Real-time captions and translation in 45+ languages. AI-powered live captions and translation extend accessibility and reach to global audiences without adding latency.
- Real-time AI. The platform embraces AI, pairing it with the human expertise that has shaped nanocosmos for over 25 years, so real-time streaming can be leveraged and adapted across different use cases, without losing the reliability that expertise brings.
- Multi-camera switching, coming soon to nanoStudio. This allows productions to cut live between multiple branded camera angles from a single cloud-based workflow, a capability built with fast-paced games like roulette in mind.
A European real-time video platform
As a German company processing data within the EU, nanocosmos gives operators and institutions a GDPR-aligned alternative built entirely on European infrastructure, at a time when data sovereignty has become a board-level question for many buyers.
Beyond compliance, operators running on European infrastructure aren't exposed to shifts in foreign policy, licensing terms, or ownership that sit outside their jurisdiction. For regulated industries and public institutions, choosing a European-built platform is increasingly a strategic decision, not just a legal one, and one that keeps critical infrastructure, and the data running through it, under European control.
nanocosmos at IBC
Meet nanocosmos at IBC 2026, September 11 to 14, at booth 5.A34. The team will showcase live demos across the platform, from MOQ running at production scale to nanoStudio Chroma turning a single feed into multiple branded streams, live replay, live captions and more. The nanocosmos team will also host the MOQTail Boat event on September 13.
