Accedo and Widevine Partner to Deliver OTT Video Services

Accedo Broadband, the leading provider of TV app stores and applications, and Widevine, a provider of digital entertainment solutions, today announced a partnership to deliver over-the-top (OTT) video services. Widevine’s adaptive streaming, virtual DVD controls and digital rights management (DRM) platform will be available for integration with Accedo’s application solutions. With this partnership, operators will be able to deliver the highest-quality viewing experience to their customers using Accedo applications.
The Widevine platform is deployed by major Internet content services and large cable, satellite and telecommunication companies launching over-the-top and TV Everywhere strategies.
