24i Worked with Cable & Wireless Communications (CWC) to Launch Bluu, a new All-in Video Streaming Service

24i, the video streaming platform expert, today announced that Cable & Wireless Communications (CWC) has launched Bluu, its new streaming service, with the full suite of 24i Video Cloud modules to keep pace with the vast amount of its live sports content, plus access to extensive VOD libraries, which is available in 16 countries. 24i Video Cloud enabled a rapid deployment to entice new and existing customers to adopt the new service in a very competitive Caribbean market.

24i Video Cloud is a modular set of components that delivers scalable and customizable video services that can be modified in real-time without the need for coding. CWC was particularly attracted to the functionality of the Backstage module that includes core content management system (CMS) and layout capabilities, plus media workflow orchestration. Backstage is also integrated with 24iQ, which includes product search, recommendation, analytics and personalization features. CWC also took full advantage of 24i’s Videostage, a fully cloud-hosted solution that handles all the live and VOD video preparation capabilities, and Appstage, which offers a comprehensive library of white-label applications that helped CWC decrease time-to-market.

At launch, Bluu is available on iOS, Android, web browsers and Android TV with plans to expand to other platforms. It offers an impressive line-up of live sports events and channels, the most popular local channels, exclusive access to acclaimed series and movies from Paramount+ and everything from WWE. 24i is leveraging its world-class partner ecosystem to provide storage from AWS, CDN services for content with Akamai and for video data with Cloudflare. 24i Video Cloud is also integrated with Cleeng for subscriber management and in-app purchasing services.
