Audio TS

The audio portion of an MPEG-2 Transport Stream, sits within an inner compression layer surrounded by an outer system layer. The audio portion of this specification defines the compression coding layer for audio data but other data (such as the newer AAC audio codec) can be coded and transmitted in a Audio TS as long as it is packetized correctly to match the MPEG-2 Transport Stream (M2TS).
