Francesco Schiavon's experience with QuickTime started before the internet explosion, in 1992. Since then, Francesco has continued to be involved with digital video, specializing in the delivery aspects of multimedia projects featuring motion pictures. Francesco's background includes project manager, producer, coding, and consulting on various types of multimedia projects, mostly video for different companies such as Blastradius, ici Media Inc., Purple Moon (now part of Mattel), etc. Apart from doing consulting on QuickTime, Francesco works as an instructor on interactive production at the Vancouver Film School. His lectures on QuickTime include interactivity, compression, and live streaming. For his work as an instructor at the Vancouver Film School, Francesco was nominated for Educator of the Year At the Canadian New Media Awards 2000.
