Michael Long is a streaming media application developer, multimedia designer and graphic designer from Indianapolis, Indiana. He graduated in 1995 from Indiana University with a degree in Fine Arts (Concentrations included Graphic Design and Internet Design) and worked for the next six months as a freelance graphic designer and web developer before joining Microsoft as a Technical Evangelist for the Window Media Technologies group. At Microsoft he was responsible for technical marketing and development support of the Windows Media Platform for new media companies and large IT departments. Clients included Warner Bros., NASA, CNET, Wall Street Journal and Sonic Foundry. After leaving Microsoft in 1998 he started OverDrive Media, Inc, a boutique streaming media consulting firm that specialized in web side streaming services. Michael currently works for Winnov a designer and manufacturer of a complete line of Video Capture Boards, Desktop Video conferencing Solutions, Notebook Video Conferencing Solutions, and Streaming Appliance computers.
