YuMe and JW Player Partner for Targeted Advertising Solution
Online video advertising company YuMe and JW Player (formerly LongTail Video) have partnered to create a solution that builds targeted video advertising into an online video player.
The JW6 Platform now comes with the YuMe Audience-Aware SDK embedded. This makes it easy for content owners to gather demographic data on their viewers, and to send in-stream audience surveys. They can then monetize their content by streaming targeted ads through YuMe.
YuMe and JW Player have announced that music site Baeble is the launch partner. Already a client of both YuMe and JW Player, Baeble will use the SDK to serve interactive YuMe ads and viewer surveys, allowing it to earn more from targeted ads.
"This partnership gives us the best of both worlds -- content delivery from JW Player and better monetization and fill rates from YuMe,” says David Moffly, chairman of Baeble Media. “More tightly integrated technologies are simply a win-win for us.”
The product now includes real-time bidding and private marketplaces, and the user interface has gotten a serious overhaul.
Nearly half of survey respondents were likely to binge watch a show to prepare for an upcoming season, while half said it enhanced their TV experience.
Just because the TV is on doesn't mean viewers are watching it. A study shows that multi-taskers see more ads on mobile devices.
A majority of voters will get campaign information from online video, but far fewer see political online video ads as important.
Customers can now bring their videos and ads to the biggest screen in the house using a Chromecast-enabled television.
Rebranding to take the name of its popular product, JW Player outlines its areas for future development.
The ad network can target demographics for brands and turn a profit, but can it make a splash on Wall Street?
The online advertiser will be able to offer brands improved online video ad targeting and reach, thanks to Crowd Science technology.
