Interactive Video Advertiser Jivox Reports 400% Growth
In a sign that interactive video advertising is growing quickly, advertising firm Jivox reported 400 percent growth for the second quarter of 2010 as compared to the same quarter in 2009. Jivox creates interactive online spots for major brands, including Intuit, Warner Brothers Music, Sony Pictures Entertainment, General Motors, and Microsoft.
Jivox sites multiple factors as contributing to its success in the first half of the year. First off, it was able to attract several new advertisers and its existing clients spent more heavily on advertising. That rebound of advertising is a sign that the worst of the recession is past for the online video industry. Second, Jivox's advertising platform has continued to gain in popularity, and is now used by over 40 media groups. That includes 8 of the top 50 media companies and 3 of the top 4 newspaper groups.
The advertising company has been able to attract more major clients in the first half of 2010, and it developed new online video ad formats powered by interactive and social sharing widgets.
