TalkPoint and Life Technologies partner to provide webinar on myths and mystery of cell culture

Webinar to offer cell culture best practices and provide discussion forum for participants

The TalkPoint powered webinar will be held on Wednesday, November 16, from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. PT. Dr. Timothy Fawcett, the director of the BioTechnical Institute of Maryland, will lend his biotechnology expertise to the Life Technologies' Gibco® cell culture session to inform attendees on cell culture best practices and tips for improving culture outcomes including:

 

  • Understanding the in-vitro system and affecting factors
  • Working with components of cell culture media & formulations, serum performance characteristics
  • Cell culture productivity and interrelationship between cell growth cycle & its environment
  • Tips & techniques for maximizing recovery
  • Use of standardized cell lines and future trend

 

The webinar will conclude with a round table to give participants the opportunity to discuss issues or topics specific to their research or current work.  A raffle will also be held for a chance to win an iPod Shuffle.
