MobiTV Selected for TV Bank’s Multiscreen Services in Japan

MobiTV, a global leader in enabling delivery of live and on-demand TV everywhere in and out of the connected home, and TV Bank, a leading live video distribution system and video provider for connected devices in Japan, today announced the partnership to leverage MobiTV’s software-based platform and NetDVR (nDVR) technology to extend TV services across screens. The service, launching this fall, will enable a robust entertainment experience on connected devices, including smartphones, tablets and PC browsers anytime, anywhere.

TV Bank, owned by SoftBank, is one of the largest online video providers in Japan. MobiTV’s end-to-end, cloud-based multiscreen platform will bring approximately 30 live channels of TV Bank’s BBTV Next service to smartphones, tablets and PCs by leveraging TV Bank’s existing infrastructure. Additionally, MobiTV’s nDVR functionality will allow for recorded, live and catch-up TV across screens.
