BuzzMyVideos Expands Services To Fully Support Spanish and Portuguese Speaking Territories

The Multi-Platform Online Video Network Continues Rapid Global Growth With Move Into YouTube’s Second Largest Market with Full Language Support in Spanish and Portuguese

London(17 Mar 2016)

BuzzMyVideos, the international online video network, has today announced its expansion into Spanish and Portuguese speaking markets. Creators in these territories now benefit from having BuzzMyVideos in-house tools, communication and customer service localized into their language enabling them to have their channels automatically assessed and optimized, discover exciting new collaborators within the global BuzzMyVideos community, grow subscribers and build a sustainable, successful YouTube channel.

Moving into Spanish and Portuguese speaking communities is a significant step forward for BuzzMyVideos, and one that offers up huge growth potential for the London based company. The online Spanish speaking market comprises more than 20% of the total internet market worldwide and is growing at double digit rates*. The online video platform market in Latin America is forecast to grow at a compound annual growth rate of over 20% during 2014-2019, with more than 60% of adults watching online videos on a weekly basis across Brazil, Argentina, and Mexico**.

Additionally an impressive 34% of Latin American internet users uploaded a video or other audio content they created themselves in 2014***. This rise in online video audiences is driving a large number of marketers to invest in online video advertising and has opened up a significant growth opportunity for BuzzMyVideos’ multi platform network services.

The Spanish market is YouTube’s second biggest market after English and the most subscribed to channel on Youtube, after PewDiePie, is a Spanish speaking creator from Chile called HolaSoyGerman with a sizeable 26.7M subscribers. Other notable creators in this market include gamer elrubiusOMG from Spain with 17M subscribers, beauty vlogger Yuya from Mexico with 13.7M subscribers and gaming channel Vegetta777 boasting 13.1M subscribers.

BuzzMyVideos has already become home to some exciting new talent from these territories. In total the Spanish and Portuguese speaking part of the network stands at over 200 creators, together boasting more than 100 million cumulative views and 4.5 million engagements. Ones to watch include beauty vlogger Xuri Fenton (145K subscribers), Vegetarirango (45K subscribers), a vegan cook with his own TV show and a published cookbook, as well as pranksters Casal Zuera (245K subscribers) and Casal em Guerra (205K subscribers).

Bengu Atamer, Co-Founder & COO of BuzzMyVideos, comments: “BuzzMyVideo aims to provide a home to the rising stars of online video entertainment across the globe. By launching the BuzzMyVideos creator platform in two additional languages, we are edging towards that goal and vitally, strengthening our close relationship with the creator community. Content in its essence is local, and we work with content creators from more than 100 counties, which makes our local expertise and language support very important. Creators are at the forefront of our strategy and we can only empower them if we can serve them locally as well as globally.”
