Matrox Supplies Unified Driver Support for Adobe and Avid on Matrox MX02 and MX02 MAX I/O Devices

Key features of the release include support for audio punch-in using Avid editing applications as well as support for recording voice-overs using Adobe Premiere Pro

Matrox® Video Products Group today announced the immediate availability of a unified driver on the PC that provides support for the latest software releases for the Avid Media Composer family of products and Adobe CS6 Production Premium on the Matrox MXO2™ and Matrox MXO2 MAX families of I/O devices, and the Matrox Mojito™ MAX I/O card. Key features of the release include support for audio punch-in using Avid editing applications as well as support for recording voice-overs using Adobe Premiere Pro. Preliminary (beta) support for the new Windows 8 (64-bit) operating system is also included. 

“The release of this new Matrox driver underscores our commitment to providing the support our users need to get the most from their creative tools,” said Wayne Andrews, product manager at Matrox. “Our customers can now seamlessly choose the right application for each video production task from the full line of Avid and Adobe offerings.”

Availability
Matrox products are available through a worldwide network of authorized dealers. The new PC software release version 7.1 is available now to registered users as a free download from the Matrox website. A unified driver for Mac users (version 3.3) will be available in January 2013 and provide for support for Apple FCP x and Compressor in addition to the Avid and Adobe applications.
