We are very excited to be showing a complete Ultra HD workflow, from live production up to post production. We are announcing four new Ultra HD products, including the ATEM Production Studio 4K, Blackmagic Audio Monitor, ATEM Studio Converter 2 and HyperDeck Studio PRO Ultra HD Recording. And we announced upgrades to our camera lines, HyperDeck and desktop video lines to be able to handle 6GB-SDI, which is what is needed for Ultra HD. This is a complete professional Ultra HD work that is affordable enough for anyone to start 4K broadcasting.

The ATEM Production Studio 4K and Blackmagic Audio Monitor are two new products that are part of our Ultra HD line. ATEM Production Studio 4K is the world’s first Ultra HD/4K production switcher with support for Ultra HD live production with GB-SDI and HDMI technology and is only $1,995. It lets customers connect up to 8 SD, HD or Ultra HD 4K video cameras, disk recorders and computers for live production and includes all the features expected from a professional switcher, including chroma key, transitions, media pool, downstream keyers, audio mixer, multi-view and the world's first 6G-SDI and HDMI 4K video connections.

The Blackmagic Audio Monitor is our first audio focused product line where customers can get incredible quality audio monitoring with Ultra HD 4K technology built-in as standard. It is a new rack mount extremely high quality audio monitoring solution with advanced 6G-SDI video for Ultra HD video sources, as well as regular analog audio and SDI video inputs, integrated video monitor and integrated LED level meter for only US$1,495.

Resolve also has a major update, as we are showing Resolve 10 on our booth. Resolve 10 will be shipping in Q3, and includes new features for integrating the workflows of multiple different software products used in the film and television industry. It also has upgraded on set tools, enhanced editing features, support for OpenFX plug ins as well as added new tools for delivering final project masters to cinemas. Resolve 10 includes:
  • Resolve Live features: Powerful tools to manage on-set color grading. The new Resolve Live feature allows color grading direct from the video input live with full creative power such as primaries, secondaries, power windows, custom curves and more. Grades can be stored and then relinked when the camera files are loaded.
  • Support for industry standard OpenFX plug ins with unlimited number of plug ins per clip.
  • Unlimited power windows per corrector node.
  • New Gradient PowerWindow allows colorists to quickly add a gradient across the image.
  • Copy and paste of tracking data, motion effects including spatial and temporal noise reduction and motion blur effects.
  • Enhanced editing features to online finishing of edits performed in other popular edit software. This means multiple users can submit scenes in large complex jobs from the edit software they prefer to use, and then DaVinci Resolve 10 can finish online from the original camera RAW files for dramatically better quality than would be available when finishing in a standard NLE software package. If any scene needs additional editing, then it can be moved back to the NLE software letting editors use the tools they love.
  • New editing features include full multi track editing with 16 channels of audio per clip and unlimited video and audio tracks in the timeline. Audio can be synced or trimmed and dragged independently to the timeline. Other new editing features include extensive ripple, roll, slide and slip clip trimming support which display dynamically on the timeline and viewer.  The viewer also allows split screen display to show in and out points of adjacent clips.
  • Editing in DaVinci Resolve 10 also includes a powerful title tool with static, lower-third, scroll and crawl titles with multiple fonts, size, drop shadow and XY positioning.
  • For project delivery, full audio track visibility in the deliver window timeline as well as integration to EasyDCP to render directly from project timelines into a Digital Cinema Package for release to theaters.
